Your learning progress
Completed lessons, review cards, daily challenge results and settings are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to our server. You can export or delete them in Settings.
Visit statistics
To understand how the site is used we record, on our own server, for each visit: the pages viewed and how long they were open, the referring site, your IP address and the approximate city and country derived from it, browser, operating system, device type, screen size and browser language. A random visitor ID is kept in your browser so that return visits can be counted. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or share this data.
Learning statistics
We also record which lessons are started and finished and whether exercises were answered correctly, linked to the same random ID. This shows us which questions are too hard or badly written. What you type is never sent, and nothing is recorded from your microphone.
Turning it off
Switch off “Usage statistics” in Settings and this browser stops sending page and learning statistics. The site works exactly the same.
Messages you send
If you use the contact form, we store what you write and whatever you choose to give with it: your name, organisation and email address. It is used only to deal with your message and to reply.
Retention and contact
Visit records are kept for up to 13 months and then deleted. To ask about or delete data connected to you, use the contact form and choose “Other question”.
